Instructional Supplies

Walden Public School provides all of the instructional supplies needed by students, but you and your child may still want to do your own shopping.  Crayons, scissors, pencils and erasers are suitable for our youngest students.  Markers, scissors, pencils, pens, and erasers are great for our oldest students.  A personal copy of a French-English dictionary is also useful for French Immersion students.

Supplies not provided by the school include a backpack, lunch bag and indoor shoes.  Students are asked to keep a pair of indoor running shoes at school for use in gym classes as well as inside the school.  Maintaining floors free from black scuff marks is time consuming for our cleaning staff and cannot be easily buffed off.  Please ensure gym shoes have non-scuff soles to help us keep our school looking great.  An additional change of clothing (or two for younger students) is encouraged in case of accidents, wet clothing due to outdoor recess or physical education class, or messy art activities.
